Calling all you hard working, noses-to-the-grindstone kind of people who need the space, the place and others to reconnect your spirit back to nature. We will be doing a series of two spring walks; Spring Birding Walks and Spring Wildflowers starting late April thru early June

The concept: gather for 2 to 4 hours in and around the Pioneer Valley in Western Mass. We're interested in getting outdoors and having fun. A little bit of fitness, a little bit of nature, a little bit of camaraderie. Occasionally there will be hikes for people who want more of challenge and a more advanced hike. Our mission: meet fellow hikers, and experience the beauty of nature and discover new places.

When we were kids, I remember using our creativity to imagine a world of possibilities... nature was our playground. Today, a big percentage of our kids are overweight, obsessed with t.v. and video games, etc. They may be lacking in their connection to the natural world. Children are the future, they ARE the Keepers of the Earth.

Looking for fellow kayakers that want to paddle and observe their surrounding. Especially when its hot! Anyone with a boat is welcome. I may bring our dog Quin. Hiking is fun in the cooler weather. Trip leaders always needed!

This is a group for anyone interested in bird watching. The Riverfront parks in Hartford and East Hartford are a great location to look for birds with stunning views of the river. We started this group because we'd like to connect birding enthusiasts with one another to explore the area and share what you have learned!

The Friday Field Group a mix of amateur and professional plant lovers devoted to the natural history and identification of plants. We use Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide and other keys to identify plants at various sites around the Capital District. We also include a few trips that delve into other aspects of natural history. Tails of Courage: Run Your Race is a program for families (and their pets) to participate in more outdoor activities. We encourage parents and their kids (two legged and/or four) to come out and join us in volunteering, walking, running, hiking, and many other outdoor activities in our communities.
