When we were kids, I remember using our creativity to imagine a world of possibilities... nature was our playground. Today, a big percentage of our kids are overweight, obsessed with t.v. and video games, etc. They may be lacking in their connection to the natural world. Children are the future, they ARE the Keepers of the Earth.

Invasive species are erasing and replacing the primeval name of the Hudson Valley and the surrounding counties and states. This is a group for anyone interested in bird watching. The Riverfront parks in Hartford and East Hartford are a great location to look for birds with stunning views of the river. We started this group because we'd like to connect birding enthusiasts with one another to explore the area and share what you have learned!

The Friday Field Group a mix of amateur and professional plant lovers devoted to the natural history and identification of plants.
